The Dog and the Cat

In the app, your child’s name stands where you see “Ani”.
Long, long ago, when animals could still talk, the Cat was a hatmaker. Everyone in the village knew his hats were the warmest of all.
One cold autumn day the Dog brought a soft sheepskin and said, “Brother Cat, please sew me a warm hat. Winter is coming!”
“Of course,” purred the Cat. “Come back tomorrow and it will be ready.”
Tomorrow came. “Wait one more day,” said the Cat. Then, “I ran out of thread.” Then, “I lost my needle.” Then, “I haven’t had time.” And all the while he slept on the sheepskin like a warm pillow.
Winter came, the snow came, but the hat never did. The Dog waited and waited, and at last he grew cross. “Cat! Where is my hat?” The Cat got such a fright that he leapt onto the fence.
Ever since then, when a dog sees a cat and barks, do you know what he is asking? “Where’s my hat? Where’s my hat?”
And we know that a promise should be kept, so our friends are never hurt. Good night, Ani.
